FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is parking at the car park free?

The first 1.5 hours are free – simply take a ticket from the machine and place it visibly in your car. Parking fees apply for longer stays.

Handy tip: If you buy your ticket for the chairlift or bike park online, you don't need to display anything in your car at all – just enter your license plate number when purchasing the ticket, and you're done!

Are there lockers available?

Yes, 18 lockers are available in the corridor leading to the restrooms at the Lahning Inn. For a deposit of € 10,- a locker key can be picked up at the cash desk.

What can I do if I lost my ticket in the park?

No panic – your day on the mountain isn't ruined! We can reissue your ticket and deactivate the old one so it can't be misused. This only works if you still have your receipt (digital or paper). Just come to the cash desk with your receipt. Please note that we'll have to charge the chip deposit again for the new keycard.

Do I need to go to the cash desk before entering the bike park?

If you've already loaded your online ticket onto an existing keycard, you can head straight to the lift – the turnstile will automatically recognize your card. If you purchased an online ticket without loading it onto a card, simply pick up your keycard with your ticket at the ticket machine.

Do I need to select a specific date when buying my ticket?

Yes, you choose a fixed date when booking. Since our tickets are limited and allocated by quota, your ticket is only valid on the day you selected. This has a big advantage for you: it keeps the trails and lift from getting too crowded, so you can fully enjoy your ride. Since spots can sell out quickly, it's best to secure your preferred date online early – that way your ticket is guaranteed and you also get free parking.

Where should I keep my keycard?

It's best to store your keycard in a zipped pocket on the left side. The card readers at our gates are located on the left side, so you can breeze through the turnstile hands-free.

A little pro tip for anyone without a suitable pocket: you can also tuck the keycard into the shaft of your sock – no guarantees, but it's an option ;)

Where can I find my chip/keycard number?

Just take a look at the back of your plastic card: the number is printed right there. You enter this number in the online shop to load your ticket directly onto the card. That way, you don't need to stop at the ticket machine and can head straight to the lift!

Do I need an existing keycard to buy my ticket online?

No, you don't need your own keycard to book your ticket online. If you already have a keycard, you can conveniently reload it online and skip the trip to the machine. If you don't have a keycard, no problem – you'll receive a Keytix card (no deposit required) at the ticket pick-up.

How are ticket prices for children handled?

You can find our current prices and all information on the different age categories directly on our website. We warmly welcome bikers of all ages! Children under ten years old may only use the bike park when accompanied by an adult supervisor.

Can I buy multiple lift tickets in one transaction?

Absolutely! You can easily buy multiple tickets in a single transaction – perfect if you're heading up with your crew or family.
Since our tickets are limited and allocated by quota, this is actually the safest way to make sure you all get onto the trails together on your preferred date. Keep in mind: with online tickets, you not only secure your spot on the mountain, but you also all park for free.

Are e-bikes allowed in the bike park?

Absolutely! As long as it's a terrain-capable e-mountainbike, you're more than welcome. Please make sure your bike is in good technical condition before heading out onto the trails. You can find a few tips on the right setup and necessary gear here.

Is camping allowed in the car park?

Unfortunately, official camping is not permitted in the car park. However, we're happy to show you where you can find a great spot in the surrounding area.

Do I need a ticket even if I don't use the lift?

Yes, a valid ticket is required to use the trails as well as the entire playground area – regardless of whether you take the lift or pedal up under your own power. You can also buy the trail ticket online.

Can I return my online ticket?

Plans can change, but please note: as is common with events or concerts, our ticket purchases are excluded from cancellation. Once your ticket is booked, it's fixed and reserved for you.

Do I have to ride the difficult trails?

Absolutely not. Our recommendation for safe progression: first build your skills in the playground, then tackle the easier trails. There's always a line that suits your level – orient yourself by the blue lines and trails. On more technically demanding sections, the rule is: adjust your speed and take a moment to look at obstacles before riding them. By the way: jumps can always be ridden around and are never mandatory. Take it easy and progress step by step.

Which bikes can be transported on the lift?

Our lift safely carries all common mountainbikes to the top, whether e-mountainbike or regular bike. It's important that the bike is in good technical condition. You can find details on transport here.

With online booking, your ticket is guaranteed in your pocket, you skip the line at the cash desk, and you also park for free. If the quota is full, unfortunately no tickets will be available on-site :-/
